I'm starting to get over the bronchitis flareup and the sinus infection has cleared up. HAPPY NEW YEARWell Christmas is past and we are into a New Year. Everyone loved the loom presents that I did for them. I came down with a bad case of bronchitis on New Years Eve and also a sinus infection so haven't been doing much looming or anything else right now, just taking it easy and trying to get over this. Here are a few finished items from the latest looming class that I did on the flower loom and spool loom. The candy canes and wreaths were done on the spool loom. I used pipe cleaners to shape them. An easy way that I found to insert the pipe cleaner, into the middle of the candy cane, was to feed the pipe cleaner into a drinking straw push it down the middle of the candy cane and then holding

I always seem to have a hard time with the drawstring cast as described in the tutorials. I came up with a different way to do it quite by accident. I attach the working yarn with a slip knot to the anchor peg, I then wrap every other peg around the loom, then wrap the working yarn around all the pegs, you now have two loops on every other peg, now I lift the bottom loops over on the pegs with

I've been busy trying to get my afghan squares caught and doing the felted clutch purse from my other group GettingItPegged . I'm having a hard time getting caught up on my Afghan Square classes. I had planned on making a lapghan for my mother for Christmas, but since she passed away in July am having a hard time deciding what to do. My daughter says that I should finish it and keep it for myself. Perhaps that would be the best solution. On a brighter note, I finished my String of Diamonds Belt for the loom class.

Okay, so I did it again! (Much to hubby's dismay) Went bargain hunting at our local Value Village and came home with the goodies below. I scooped up 40 skeins of yarn in different sizes and colours for $30.00, and also found these two neat little looms one is labelled as a snowflake loom and the other a flower loom.

This is my first square for the Project Afghan Class on the LoomClass group on Yahoo Groups. This is the diagonal rib square. These are fun to do, while learning new techniques at the same time. We will be doing 13 of these squares (I will be looming two of each design) and the finished project will be an approximately 5 x 5 Afghan. I will be adding additional squares as I do them.

This is a pattern that I found at Loom Knitters Circle. I have never done a sweater before, and am really happy with the way it turned out. It was supposed to have a snowman on the front, but with spring approaching (hopefully)I decided to do it one colour with a single flower on the front.
